The Consulate is pleased to announce that the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) has formally opened the call for nominations to the 2021 Migration Advocacy and Media (MAM) Awards.

Established in 2011, the MAM Awards aim to recognize the significant role of the media in the promotion and advocacy of various issues concerning overseas Filipinos.

Eligible for the Awards are works by private media outlets, government, institutions and practitioners in the fields of print, radio, movie and television, advertising and interactive media. The categories include Print Journalism Award, Radio Journalism Award, Television Journalism Award, Film Media Award, Interactive Media Award, Advertisement Award, and Media Advocate Award. The newest category - the Media Advocate Award is intended for media personalities and migration advocates. The entries/ nominees must have raised public awareness on issues on Filipino migration, advocated the cause of overseas Filipinos and/or promoted a positive image of overseas Filipinos.
