25 October 2022 – The Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu reminds Filipino nationals in Hawai’i County to regularly check the official websites and social media pages of the Hawai’i County Civil Defense Agency and the United States Geological Survey Hawaii Volcano Observatory for updates on the status of the Mauna Loa volcano.
As of 24 October 2022, authorities have declared Mauna Loa volcano under Advisory / Yellow, Alert Level / Aviation Color Code, which indicates that there are no signs of an imminent eruption at this time.
Nevertheless, residents of the county are advised to prepare go bags and a personal response plan, in the event of an eruption.
