If Rizal could read your letter, what would you tell him?
In celebration of the 126th Anniversary of Jose Rizal’s Martyrdom on 30 December 2022 and in the lead up to his 162nd Birth Anniversary on 19 June 2023, the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu invites students across Hawaii, ages 8 to 17 years old, to write a one-page letter addressed to Dr. Jose Rizal, the Philippines' national hero.
Letters can be mailed to the Consulate or sent by email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. from 30 December 2022 to 19 June 2023. A chosen letter will be featured on the Consulate’s social media pages each month and on 20 June 2023, all letters will be posted as a collage and displayed at the Consulate’s Sentro Rizal.
Senders of the chosen letters will receive a token of appreciation.
