20 January 2023, Honolulu – Upon the invitation of Hawaii Senate President Ronald Kouchi and House Speaker Scott Saiki, Consul General Emil Fernandez attended the Opening Day Ceremony of the 32nd Legislature last 18 January at the State Capitol in Honolulu. Fourteen Filipino-Americans are currently serving in the State Senate and House of Representatives. Shown in the photo is Consul General Fernandez extending his best wishes to Representative Rachele Lamosao of District 36.
