25 April 2023, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA – In its bid to allow as many qualified Filipinos as possible to register as overseas voters and cast their ballots in the Philippines’ national elections, the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu conducted its second mobile overseas voter registration of Filipino fishermen at Honolulu Harbor’s Pier 36 last 24 April.
Consular Assistant and Administering Officer Jonifer Mislang led the team, which was able to register 11 Filipino fishermen. She was assisted by Voter Registration Machine (VRM) Operators Hermogenes Cayabyab, Jr. and Joel Bulos.
The next mobile overseas voter registration of Filipino fishermen is scheduled on 11 May 2023 at Pier 17. The Consulate also conducts such services during its consular outreach missions in the various islands of Hawaii.
