25 April 2023, Honolulu – Consul General Emil Fernandez participated today in the commemoration by the Consulates General of Australia and New Zealand of this year’s ANZAC Day, observed annually in Honolulu since 1973, at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.  Providing the commemorative address was Rear Admiral David Proctor, Chief of the Royal New Zealand Navy.  ANZAC Day marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War.  (END)
