PHOTO RELEASE NO. 49-2023

5 May 2023, Honolulu – Paris-trained Filipino master couturier, Amir Sali, also known as the “Prince of Beads,” formed part of the delegation from the Philippines who called on Consul General Emil Fernandez today. The group is in Hawaii to stage the “Exquisite” fashion show at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Hotel this May 6.  Several distinguished Filipino community leaders and business owners will participate in the show, including Ms. Patch Singson, wife of Ilocos Sur Governor Ryan Singson, Quezon City Councilman Wency Lagumbay and Rotary Club District Governor Mildred Vitangcol.  Proceeds from the activity will benefit several organizations, such as the Philippine Nurses Association of Hawaii, UH School of Fashion Design, Ho’ola Na Pua and St. Theresa’s Church.  The event is made possible through the efforts of Dr. Nancy Atmospera-Walch and Ms. Sarah Luz Hosaka of En Vogue Productions.  (END)
