08 May 2023, Honolulu, Hawaii - Thousands of visitors flocked the Filipino Community Center in Waipahu for the Filipino Fiesta last 6 May. The annual event brought together the Filipino American community and showcased and promoted various aspects of the community, including culture, heritage, performing and visual art, cuisine and business in a welcoming atmosphere that was truly Filipino.

The event gathered various Filipino community organizations in Hawaii which set up cultural booths at the Nayong Pilipino for visitors to get their “Filipino Fiesta passports” stamped after visiting the various booths. Attendees of the Fiesta enjoyed the fun and informative activity, an innovation at this year's event.

To reach out to more Filipinos, the Philippine Consulate set up an information booth to address consular queries and promote its upcoming events.

The Filipino Fiesta 2023 is celebrated in May and coincides with Philippine National Heritage Month. (END).
