15 June 2023, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA –  Consul General Emil Fernandez received at the Consulate today fashion designer and painter Edgar San Diego, who is staging his first solo exhibit in Honolulu. Mr. San Diego, known for his unique and intricate Filipiniana gowns, is displaying his latest set of paintings through the Hibla at Pinta exhibit, which runs this June 14 to 16 at the Philippine Consulate General.

Strong Filipiniana elements are a distinct feature of the collection, as Mr. San Diego’s expertise in fashion is brought to the fore. Consul General Fernandez commended Mr. San Diego for the opportunity to showcase his works at the Consulate and enabling the public to have an appreciation of this aspect of Philippine arts.

Hibla at Pinta is being staged in partnership with the Philippine Celebrations Coordinating Committee of Hawaii. (END)
