8 January 2024, Honolulu – Consul General Emil Fernandez joined the officers and members of the Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii (FCCH), led by its president Susie Berardy, in welcoming Hawaii and Honolulu City government officials during its Legislative Breakfast held at the Filipino Community Center in Waipahu last January 6.  The Chamber holds the annual activity to enable its members to “meet and greet” local legislators and listen to their priority programs. Also joining the event were Lieutenant Governor Sylvia Luke, Honolulu City Mayor Rick Blangiardi and House Speaker Scott Saiki.

In his remarks, Consul General Fernandez thanked the Chamber for being an active partner in the Consulate’s economic diplomacy efforts and highlighted that it is well positioned to contribute to the Philippines’ further socio-economic development as employers, tourists, traders, and investors.  (END)
