PRESS RELEASE NO. 4-2024

22 January 2024, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA – Executives from PLDT Global Corporation (PGC) highlighted the inroads made by the Philippines in interconnectivity at a cocktail reception hosted by PGC at the Rainbow Suites and Patio of the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort yesterday.

Consul Grace Bulos, who represented the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu at the event, was pleased to learn of the leading telecommunications company’s launch of ePLDT’s 11th hyperscale data center, the Vitro Sta. Rosa Data Center, this July.  The hyperscale facility will be equipped with at least three fiber routes to ensure network diversity, resilience and carrier-neutrality.  Designed based on Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards, Vitro Sta. Rosa will implement global-call sustainability practices in design, supply and building operations.

A team from PGC is in Honolulu to participate in the 2024 Pacific Telecommunications Council Annual Conference (PTC’24), which gathers the global communications industry and provides attendees with a platform to focus on planning, networking, and discovering innovations and partnerships in the information and communication technology (ICT) industry.  PTC’24, which is being held at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort, runs from January 21 to 24.  (END)
