2 February 2024, Honolulu, Hawaii – Consul General Emil Fernandez received Indonesian Consul General Purnomo Chandra (left), who was in Hawaii for a round of courtesy calls following his recent assumption into office as Indonesia’s Consul General in Los Angeles.
The Indonesian Consulate General in Los Angeles also covers Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam and Saipan. Consul General Chandra was accompanied by Consul Charles Ferdinand Hutapea, Consul Fadlhy Ahmad, and Mr. Avellinno Primastio.
The two Consuls General reaffirmed the deep friendship and excellent ties between the Philippines and Indonesia and the close cooperation between them on many issues, including assistance to nationals. It may be recalled that Indonesian President Jojo Widodo was in Manila last January 9 to 11, where he met with President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. to further deepen and strengthen the two countries’ bilateral relations. (END)
