14 February 2024, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA – Philippine Consul General Emil Fernandez received Major General Ramon J. Guiang Vice Commander of the Philippine Air Force (PAF), and Colonel Bayani V. Curaming, Chief of Marine Staff, Philippine Marine Corps (PMC), together with members of their respective delegations, at the Philippine Consulate today.
The PAF delegation is in Honolulu for the 12th Philippine Air Force - Pacific Air Force (PACAF) Airman to Airman Talks on February 13 to 16. The talks will facilitate and determine activities to fill interoperability gaps of both Air Forces for future bilateral military engagements.
The PMC delegation, on the other hand, is attending the Philippine Marine Corps - Marine Force Pacific (PMC-MARFORPAC) Marine to Marine Talks on February 12 to 15, which focuses on the planning, evaluation and assessment of their annual activities.
The two meetings are being held in support of the 2025 annual activities of the Mutual Defense Board and Security Engagement Board (MDB-SEB), which serves as the coordinating body for the United States - Philippines defense and security cooperation. (END)
