 Honolulu, Hawaii, USA, 15 February 2024 - Consul Grace Bulos received Mr. John Atwell, West Hawaii Program Director of the Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii Island (VASH), at the Consulate last February 14 to discuss mutual cooperation and support for the missions of the Consulate and VASH.

Mr. Atwell shared with Consul Bulos that VASH offers services in line with its mission to “share the Aloha Spirit with visitors affected by adversity.”  Among services offered by VASH are information and referral for lost or stolen documents, assistance with emergency lodging arrangements, local emergency transportation, assistance with emergency changes to travel plans, food for emergency needs, translation services, hospital visits, medical evacuation and provision of emotional support. 

Ms. Bulos briefed Mr. Atwell on the history and work of the Consulate and thanked him for the opportunity to connect with VASH for the Consulate’s assistance to nationals needs. (END)
