20 February 2024, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA – Philippine Consul General Emil Fernandez (standing left in photo) received Captain Emerson David, Deputy, Assistant Chief of Naval Staff for Plans, Philippine Navy, and members of his delegation at the Philippine Consulate in Honolulu earlier today.
The Philippine Navy delegation is in Honolulu for the Philippine Navy - Pacific Fleet Staff Talks on February 19 to 23, which will review and propose new activities for 2025 at the Mutual Defense Board and Security Engagement Board (MDB-SEB). The MDB-SEB serves as the coordinating body for the United States - Philippines defense and security cooperation.

Consul General Fernandez and Capt. David discussed pressing security developments in the region, the Philippines’ defense capabilities particularly its naval assets, and ways to further strengthen the Philippines-U.S. military alliance. (END)
