21 February 2024, Honolulu – Consul General Emil Fernandez (leftmost in the photo) inducted the new officers of Dingrenios of Hawaii led by its president, Roger Mariano (rightmost in the photo), during the association’s Installation of Officers & Service Awards Night held at the Ala Moana Hotel last February 18.

In his remarks, Consul General Fernandez conveyed his appreciation to the organization for the continued support of its members to the Consulate’s activities, including its valued participation in the gathering for Senator Imee Marcos at Blaisdell Park and President Bongbong Marcos’ meeting with members of the Filipino community in Hawaii last October and November, respectively.  He also cited the vital role played by the diaspora, as the Consulate works toward enhancing the country’s national and economic security.

The Dingrenios of Hawaii, whose members hail from the municipality of Dingras in Ilocos Norte, was founded 41 years ago with the objectives of fostering camaraderie and cultural exchange.  (END)
