1 March 2024, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA – Mr. Mufi Hannemann, former Honolulu Mayor and now Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA) Board of Directors Chair, accompanied by Ms. Vanessa Kop, Executive Vice President, CBI Hawaii Real Estate Advisory Services, and Mr. AJ Halagao, President, Hawaii Leadership Forum met today with Consul General Emil Fernandez to discuss the proposed visit of the 18th class of the Pacific Century Fellows (PCF) Program to the Philippines later this year. The activity would serve as the inaugural overseas trip of a PCF cohort and aims to broaden participants’ understanding and appreciation of the region.
Modeled after the White House Fellows Program, the PCF is the signature activity of the nonprofit organization, which was founded by Mr. Hannemann in 1996. Leaders from various fields such as government, business, and education, among others, have participated in the program to learn about the issues and challenges facing the local community, and in the process built lasting networks for cooperation.
