PHOTO RELEASE NO. 31-2024

20 March 2024, Honolulu – Consul General Emil Fernandez (center in photo) joined the officers and faculty of the Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (DKI-APCSS) today in a ceremony marking the completion of the Comprehensive Security Cooperation (CSC) course 24-1.  Ninety-two participants from thirty countries, including six from the Philippines, took part in 5-week course, which aims to enhance capacity to comprehend and address security challenges in the Indo-Pacific region.  Also attending the event was Captain Aldrin Doctor, Armed Forces of the Philippines Liaison Officer to USINDOPACOM (2nd from right).

The Filipino CSC 24-1 fellows are Assistant Secretary Paulo Lim of the Office of the President, Captain Roderick Elioran and Commander Marilyn Jaal of the Philippine Coast Guard, Lieutenant Colonel Christian Ace Lualhati of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and Major Chino Cornelio and Ms. Mara Czareanah Gerona of the Department of National Defense.  Professor Amparo Pamela Fabe of the Philippine National Police (3rd from left) was tapped to serve as seminar facilitator.  (END)
