Consul General Emil Fernandez (right) welcomed Vice Admiral Toribio D. Adaci, Jr., Flag Officer in Command (FOIC), Philippine Navy, at the Philippine Consulate.

3 April 2024, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA –  Philippine Consul General Emil Fernandez received Vice Admiral Toribio D. Adaci, Jr., Flag Officer in Command (FOIC) of the Philippine Navy, at the Philippine Consulate today.  

FOIC Adaci is in Hawaii for engagements with top US military officials, including the ceremonies for the promotion of US Navy Vice Admiral Stephen Thomas Kholer as Admiral, and the change of command of the head of the US Pacific Fleet. His courtesy call on Consul General Fernandez was among his first activities in Honolulu. The two officials exchanged updates on the security situation in the region and discussed the vibrant Philippine-US alliance, particularly the importance of naval cooperation in maintaining peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific. 

FOIC Adaci served as the Commander of the Naval Forces Western Mindanao for two years prior to assuming his post as FOIC in November 2022. A decorated officer, he is also a lawyer and a proud member of the PMA “Makatao” Class of 1989. He is joined by his spouse, Mrs. Mercy Khrystin Adaci, and Philippine Navy officials Capt. Gaylord Santos and Lt. Kethlene Arah Pulido. (END)
