6 May 2024, Honolulu – The Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu joined the festivities at the 2024 Filipino Fiesta and Flores de Mayo last Saturday at the Filipino Community (FilCom) Center in Waipahu, with a booth that gave away prizes and personnel who responded to consular-related queries.
In his remarks, Consul General Emil Fernandez commended the resilience of the Filipino community in Hawaii and their ability to overcome challenges. He noted their camaraderie and generosity, and lauded activities such as the Fiesta that unify the diaspora. He also encouraged attendees to join the 2024 Very Important Pinoy (VIP) Tour, which will visit each of the country’s main island groups. (END)
