Consul Pamela Durian-Bailon, representing the Philippine Consulate General, offered a lei during Governor Josh Green’s Memorial Day Ceremony at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery in Honolulu

28 May 2024, Honolulu –  Consul Pamela Durian-Bailon represented the Philippine Consulate at the Memorial Day Ceremony led by Hawaii Governor Josh Green at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery in Honolulu last 27 May. During the ceremony, Consul Durian-Bailon offered a floral lei on behalf of the Philippine Government.

The ceremony paid tribute to the courage shown by American soldiers in defense of liberty and freedom. In his address, Governor Green emphasized that the sacrifices of these heroes will be eternally remembered.

The event saw the attendance of Lieutenant Governor Sylvia Luke, Honolulu Mayor Rick Blangiardi, officers from various units of the U.S. military forces, veterans and their families, senators, representatives, council members, consular corps officials, and other distinguished guests. (END)
