31 May 2024, Honolulu – Seven officials from the Philippines are part of the ongoing Comprehensive Security Cooperation (CSC) 24-2 course being offered by the Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (DKI-APCSS). Accompanied by Armed Forces of the Philippines Liaison Officer (AFP LO) to USINDOPACOM Captain Cris Sergio and AFP Assistant LO Colonel Jay Baquiran, the group called on Consul General Emil Fernandez (4th from left in photo) earlier today. They included Air Force Colonel Christina Basco, Army Colonel Joel Salaguinto, Philippine National Police Major Brenie Bulso, Philippine Information Agency Regional Director Cristina Arzadon, Anti-Terrorism Council Director Andrew Alcantara, Mr. Manmar Francisco of the National Defense College of the Philippines, and Ms. Chrishel Suerte of the Department of National Defense. CSC is a 5-week in-resident executive program offered thrice yearly for mid-level military, government, and non-government professionals dealing with security issues. (END)
