5 June 2024, Honolulu – Consul General Emil Fernandez delivered the inspirational message during the Oahu Filipino Community Council’s (OFCC) 65th anniversary gala held last June 1 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Hotel. Highlighting the event was the entourage of majesties, which witnessed the crowning of Vivian Guevarra Gamiao as the 2024 Ms. Oahu Queen of Queens. Also crowned was Genevieve Apple Cortez as this year’s Miss Oahu Filipina. Among the special guests in attendance was State Representative Joje May Mizuno. Established in 1959, OFCC is a federation of Filipino community organizations in Oahu, Hawaii’s most populated island, and forms part of the statewide United Filipino Council of Hawaii. Ably steering OFCC the past two years is its current president, Mr. Raymond Sebastian. (END)
