12 June 2024, Honolulu – Major General Jeffrey Hechanova, Deputy Chief of Staff for Plans & Programs of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (4th from right), led a delegation of defense officials from the Philippines, who called on Consul General Emil Fernandez (4th from left) yesterday. The group comprises the country’s participants in the Mutual-Defense Board – Security Engagement Board (MDB-SEB) Executive Committee (EXECOM) Meeting between the Philippines and United States, which will be held on June 12 and 13 in Honolulu, Hawaii. The two-day EXECOM Meeting is the second stage of the MDB-SEB planning cycle that takes stock and plans for the two nations’ defense and security activities. The recommendations of the EXECOM will be discussed by the MDB-SEB during its meeting which will be held in Manila in August this year. (END)
