2 July 2024, Honolulu – Upon the invitation of Vice Admiral Angus Topshee, Commander of the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN), and Commander Collin Forsberg, Commanding Officer of HMCS Max Bernays, Consul General Emil Fernandez joined special guests in Honolulu yesterday to celebrate Canada Day, which commemorates the North American country’s anniversary of Canadian Confederation that occurred on July 1, 1867. The reception was held onboard HMCS Bernays, the RCN’s Harry DeWolf class Arctic and Offshore Patrol Vessel, which is currently participating in the 29th RIMPAC international maritime exercise in and around the Hawaiian Islands.
