11 July 2024, Honolulu – Consul General Emil Fernandez (3rd from left) received Brigadier General Edwin Amadar (3rd from right), Commander of the Philippine Navy’s (PN) Fleet Marine Ready Force, at the Philippine Consulate in Honolulu yesterday during the latter’s official trip to Hawaii to participate in the RIMPAC Distinguished Visitor events. The visiting delegation also included Colonel Paulo Teodoro of the Philippine Air Force and Lieutenant Junior Grade Ralph Ramiento (PN). Joining Consul General Fernandez were AFP Liaison Officer to USINDOPACOM Cris Sergio and Assistant AFP LO Colonel Jay Baquiran. Among Brigadier General Amadar’s engagements is a meeting with Vice Admiral John Wade, Commander of the San Diego, California-based U.S. Third Feet, which plans and executes naval operations in the Pacific Ocean.
