16 July 2024, Honolulu – Personnel of the Philippine Consulate in Honolulu met with Los Angeles-based Labor Attache Macy Maglanque to continue discussions on services offered to Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) by the Migrant Workers Office (MWO).

Among the key updates, Labor Attaché Maglanque highlighted the introduction of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) mobile app, which allows eligible OFWs to conveniently renew their membership online, ensuring continuous support and services. Additional information on the OWWA mobile app and its features may be found on their website (https://owwa.gov.ph/).

While in Hawaii, the Labor Attache also took time to meet with officials from the Honolulu District Office of the U.S. Department of Labor to discuss labor-related concerns faced by Filipino workers.
