25 August 2024, Honolulu - Consul Grace Bulos visited the newly-opened Magnolia Ice Cream and Treats store in Kapolei yesterday to show support for the Filipino-owned enterprise. Magnolia is known for its ice cream featuring flavors unique to the Philippines such as mango, ube, queso (cheese) and buko (young coconut) among others, and halo-halo, a popular Philippine cold dessert made of crushed ice, evaporated or coconut milk and various side ingredients such as ube halaya, sweetened kidney beens or chickpeas, macapuno (coconut sport) strips, sago (tapioca balls) gulaman (agar), pinipig, leche flan, fruit and other root crop preserves, topped with a scoop of ube ice cream.

Magnolia’s Kapolei branch is its fifth store on Oahu, with other branches located in Waikiki, Kalihi, Kaneohe and Waipahu.
