20 December 2024, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA – Consul Grace Bulos led the Philippine Consulate General’s Assistance to Nationals team in the conduct of its annual Christmas goodwill visit to Filipino fishermen stationed at the Honolulu Harbor last December 19.

The activity, held annually since 2018, was organized in cooperation with the Seafarers Ministry and the Waipio Baptist Church, headed by Pastor Jerry Saludez.

The Consulate’s team joined in fellowship, exchanged stories with the fishermen, and distributed jackets funded by the Assistance to Nationals Fund, as well as clothes, shoes, toys and books donated by Consulate personnel to 43 beneficiaries.

Noting that the visit coincided with the Month of Overseas Filipinos and took place a day after Philippine International Migrants Day, Consul Bulos thanked and recognized the fishermen for their hard work and sacrifices for their families, which consequently contribute to the progress and development of the Philippines.  She reaffirmed the readiness of the Consulate to provide consular and assistance to nationals services, when necessary.  She also informed the fishermen of the upcoming May 2025 midterm elections and reminded those who registered as overseas voters to exercise their right to vote.   (END).
