Consul Bulos with PLDT Global Corporation officials, President and Chief Executive Officer Albert Villa-Real and Chief Operations Officer Edith Gomez-Cudiamat  

Honolulu, 24 January 2025 – Consul Grace Bulos received officials of PLDT Global Corporation, namely Mr. Albert Villa-Real, President and Chief Executive Officer and Ms. Edith Gomez-Cudiamat, Chief Operations Officer, at the Philippine Consulate General last 23 January, for an engaging exchange on the Consulate’s work and the telecommunications company’s products and services for the Filipino diaspora.  

The officials briefed Consul Bulos on their company’s e-commerce platform TINBO or Tindahan ni Bossing which serves as a one-stop digital shop that enables Filipinos overseas to care for their families back home by providing access to services for connectivity, bills payment, grocery shopping and digital banking needs, among others.    PLDT Global Corp has also collaborated with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) on the agency’s 24/7 hotline, through an arrangement that allows overseas Filipino workers and their families to contact OWWA for a five-minute free call by dialing 1348 (for those in Metro Manila), 02 1348 (for those in the provinces) and +632 1348 (for those based overseas).   

The PLDT officials were in Honolulu for the 2025 Pacific Telecommunications Council Annual Conference (PTC’25), which was held at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Hotel from 19 to 22 January 2025.  PTC gathers delegations from the global communications industry and provides attendees with a platform to focus on planning, networking, and discovering innovations and partnerships in the information and communication technology (ICT) industry.  (END).
