31 March 2025, Honolulu – Consul General Arman R. Talbo led the Philippine Consulate General’s first town hall of the year on 29 March 2025, drawing an engaged crowd of Filipino community leaders eager to meet the new Consul General and learn more about the new online voting system.

With the countdown to the 2025 Philippine National Elections underway, the Consulate embarked on an information campaign to introduce online voting, which the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) adopted for select Philippine Foreign Service Posts. During the town hall session, the Consulate walked participants through the pre-enrollment process and voting system. 

Consul General Talbo warmly welcomed the attendees and emphasized that the new voting process was developed to encourage Filipinos overseas to exercise their right to vote. He expressed confidence that the attendees would share the information with their respective organizations and convince eligible voters to pre-enroll and “vote early and not wait until the last day to cast their votes.”

Registered overseas voters may pre-enroll until 7 May 2025, 5:59AM Hawaii time (HST) through https://ov.comelec.gov.ph/enroll, where a test voting link is available until 12 April 2025.

From 13 April, 8:00AM until 12 May, 1:00AM HST, registered and pre-enrolled voters may cast their votes through  https://ov.comelec.gov.ph/vote.

During the town hall, the Consulate also shared upcoming activities of Post, including the highly-anticipated Very Important Pinoy (VIP) Tour happening this July. Consul Grace Anne Bulos and Vice Consul Leizel Caasi served as resource persons for the town hall.
