2 April 2025, Honolulu – Consul General Arman R. Talbo welcomed representatives from the Filipino Community (FilCom) Center during a courtesy call at the Consulate earlier today.

Joining the call were Second Vice Chair of FilCom Center Executive Committee Dr. Eva Washburn, Chair of FilCom Center Programs Committee Vanessa Kop, Co-Chair of FilCom Center Fundraising Committee Jennifer Aquino, Chair of the FilCom Center PR and Marketing Committee Peter Boylan, Vice Chair of Filcom Center Facilities and Finance and Budget Committees Ned Rogrigues, FilCom Center Executive Director Andrea Caymo-Kauhanen, and Vice Consul Leizel Caasi.

During the meeting, Consul General Talbo emphasized the importance of collaboration and assured the Center of the Consulate’s active role in promoting Philippine culture and co-organizing activities that would be beneficial to the Filipino diaspora, stating that “we’re stronger when we work together.” 

The FilCom Center also shared upcoming events, such as the much-anticipated Filipino Fiesta and Flores de Mayo on May 3rd, the Bayanihan Gala on October 11th, and on-going workshops wherein the community can learn about Philippine culture and the arts.
