22 April 2025, Honolulu – Consul General Arman R. Talbo welcomed to the Philippine Consulate General last 16 April Dr. Rhea Bautista, Executive Director of the Philippine Medical Association of Hawaii (PMAH) for discussions on possible partnership in future activities that will cater to the health and wellness needs of the Filipino American community in the Aloha state.  Proposals included, among others, information sessions on where new Filipino migrants can access healthcare, and briefings for Consulate personnel on topics such as first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.  

Established in 1978, PMAH continues to lead the way in addressing the healthcare needs of Hawaii's diverse population.  Together with its affiliates, the Bayanihan Clinic Without Walls (BCWW), Ohana Medical Mission (OMM) and  PMAH Foundation, the Association has positively impacted the Filipino American community by offering complimentary medical services to thousands of uninsured Filipino and non-Filipino immigrants, the conduct of medical missions to the Philippines, and educational assistance to pre-medical and medical students, all while promoting the richness and diversity of Philippine culture and heritage.  (END).
