Ms. Calisay welcomes Consul General Talbo to East West Marketing, Inc. headquarters.

29 April 2025, Honolulu – As part of the economic efforts of the Philippine Consulate, Consul General Arman R. Talbo continued his site visits of Filipino-owned businesses across Honolulu. East West Marketing, Inc. President and Chief Executive Officer Melody Calisay gave a warehouse tour for Consul General Talbo last 28 April, who was joined by Vice Consul Leizel Caasi, Mr. Bert Calisay, and Ms. Evelyn Caranto.

The group discussed how Filipino products can further be promoted in Hawaii. They also exchanged ideas on increasing trade between the Philippines and Hawaii.

Ms. Calisay shared that the huge population of Filipinos in Hawaii provides a natural market for Filipino food products in the area. She observed that Filipinos have brand loyalty and are discerning buyers, who look for flavors that make Philippine cuisine distinct. 

East West distributes their products to Pacific Supermarket, Seafood City, HMart, and various stores across Hawaii. It is also the exclusive distributor of Mama Sita’s, Clover Chips, and Young’s Town Sardines.
