15 May 2025, Honolulu – The Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu organized an Estate Tax Amnesty Forum last April 30 as part of its Financial Literacy Series with Atty. Betheena C. Dizon, Tax Principal of SGV & Co., serving as the resource person. 

Atty. Dizon explained the criteria and requirements to avail of the estate tax amnesty program before the deadline of June 14, 2025. The program provides a one-time opportunity for heirs to settle their estate tax obligations, giving “reasonable tax relief to estates with estate tax liabilities.”

Consul General Arman R. Talbo welcomed participants from the Filipino community, who attended in person and online. He emphasized the importance of taking timely action so that those who want to avail of the amnesty will be able to do so before the deadline.
