30 May 2025, Honolulu – Consul General Arman R. Talbo congratulated the graduates of Batch 2025 at the 8th Annual FilGrad at the University of Hawai`i (UH) at Mānoa last May 16th. With the theme, “Celebrating Ancestors and Successors,” the graduates, their families and friends, together with the UH Faculty, honored the achievements of these students who carry with them the dreams and aspirations of their forebearers.

 

One of the honor students who graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English & Philippine Language and Culture: Ilokano (Summa Cum Laude) is Julie Jane Remigio.  She was born and raised in Kauai.  Her parents hail from Batac, Ilocos Norte.

FilGrad is a student-led and -organized commencement exercise, celebrating the achievements of interested UH students, regardless of major, who have fulfilled the requirements to receive a degree at any level of higher education. (END)
