30 May 2025, Honolulu – On 17 May, Consul General Arman R. Talbo visited Seafood City in Honolulu, where he was given a tour by Marketing Associate Via Van Bokhoven. The visit is part of the Consulate’s ongoing efforts to support Filipino-owned businesses across the city, and to find ways how Filipino businesses and products can have more access to Hawaiian consumers.  He was joined by Vice Consul Leizel Caasi and Ms. Mia Gaspar.

 Consul General meets the branch managers of PNB and Jollibee, stores located inside Seafood City.

 

During the visit, Consul General Talbo spoke with Seafood City Manager Marie Shiraishi and discussed possible impact of tariffs and ways to ensure smooth entry of products from the Philippines. 

Seafood City is not only a shopping destination for Filipinos on the island but also serves as a hub for the community. Seafood City also houses Grill City, which cooks home-style Filipino food, Jollibee, Goldilocks, Philippine National Bank, LOGO Door to Door Cargo,  Valerio’s, a Filipino-style bakery, and Blooms, which sells Filipiniana wear and accessories.
