Consul General Talbo met with Director Vares-Lum at the DKI-APCSS in Honolulu.
4 June 2025, Honolulu – Consul General Arman Talbo and Director Suzanne Vares-Lum of the Daniel K. Inouye Asia Pacific Center for Security Studies (DKI APCSS) met at the Center’s headquarters in Honolulu to reaffirm the partnership and commitment of the Consulate and the Center in strengthening collaboration on mutually beneficial endeavors, founded on the iron-clad ties of the Philippines and the United States.
The longstanding partnership between the Philippines and DKI APCSS has significantly contributed to regional security and capacity building. The officials agreed to deepen collaboration through targeted initiatives and active engagement to further enhance mutual objectives in the Indo-Pacific region.
Established in 1995, DKI APCSS has advanced regional stability by educating leaders, building connections and empowering change makers. The Center has brought together security professionals from the Indo-Pacific to address challenges and drive practical solutions aligned with the US Department of Defense’s priorities. The DKI APCSS boasts of over 500 Filipino alumni, many of whom now hold senior positions in the Philippine government and military. (END)
