(7 February 2019, Honolulu, Hawaii) - Rear Admiral Jande S. Francisco, Philippine Navy, J6, GHQ-AFP, Deputy Chief of Staff for Communication, Electronics & Information Systems (CEIS) called on Consul General Jimeno on 6 February 2019 at the PCG.

RADM Francisco was in Honolulu for the Senior Leader Engagement with his American counterpart, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command J6, BGEN Paul Fredenburgh and the signing of the U.S.- PH Communication Interoperability and Security Memorandum of Agreement (CIS MOA).

Interoperability in communications was underscored by RADM Francisco especially with current common challenges in the Pacific. Militaries of the Philippines and the U.S. must be able to communicate efficiently in the event of security threats and disaster response, he said.

RADM Francisco was accompanied by CDR Marcus Jason D. Bartolome, PN, OJ6, GHQ-AFP and Col. Joseph P. Archog, PAF, AFPLO to US Indo-PACOM. END
