(11 September 2019, Honolulu, Hawaii) – Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) officers who are in Hawaii for two separate official engagements called on Consul General Joselito A. Jimeno at the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu on 10 September 2019.

The first group, consisting of Ltc. Julius A. Cabarloc, Chief, IO Br, OJ3 and Ltc. Vince James DG Bantilan, AFP Liaison Officer to the US INDOPACOM, is attending the 2019 Pacific Information Operations Symposium. With the theme “Countering Coercion: The Role of Information Operations”, the symposium started on 10 September 2019 and will end on 12 September 2019.

The second group consists of Philippine Air Force officers Ltc. Marlon T. Hardillo, Ltc. Voltaire Caesar P. Rapanut, Ltc. Angelo L. Caraig, and Maj. Emerson T. Bermeo. They are in Hawaii for the Ground Radar Air Defense Subject Matter Expert Exchanges (SMEE), which is convened yearly between the Hawaii Air National Guard and the Philippine Air Force to promote security cooperation and capacity.
