(22 Mar 2018, Honolulu, Hawaii) Executives from ABS-CBN, one of the country’s leading entertainment and media conglomerates, paid a courtesy call on Consul General Joselito A. Jimeno at the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu, Hawaii on 22 March 2018.
During the call, the ABS-CBN executives, namely Ms. Pamela Castillo, Global Marketing Head and North America Marketing and Brand Strategist for ABS-CBN International; Ms. Rosary Escaño, Marketing Manager for North and Latin America for ABS-CBN Canada ULC; and Ms. Leona Sala, dealer for The Filipino Channel (TFC), enlisted the support of the Philippine Consulate General in connection with a major show that the network is organizing, “ASAP Live in Honolulu” at the Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu on 30 June 2018.
ASAP is the longest-running, multi-award winning musical variety show in the Philippines, featuring the country’s best superstar performers, artists and chart toppers. The ASAP concert in June will bring over thirty talents and artists to provide world-class entertainment to both Filipino and foreign audience in Honolulu.
Consul General Jimeno also briefed them on the history of Filipino migration in Hawaii, notable Filipino Americans in Hawaii who have made strides in their respective fields and professions, as well as major projects of the Philippine Consulate General in the coming years.
While in Hawaii, ABS-CBN executives will also meet with members of the media, prominent members of the Filipino community, and the Filipino youth to create a unique program that will resonate with the Filipino Americans in Hawaii (END).
