Consul Grace Anne G. Bulos thanks the Filipino fishermen for contributing to the Philippine and Hawaii economies

3 January 2020, Honolulu, Hawaii – On 27 December 2019, the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu conducted its fourth and last goodwill visit for 2019 to the Filipino fishermen at Pier 36 of the Honolulu Harbor.

ATN Unit Head, Consul Grace Anne G. Bulos, accompanied by Protocol Officer Joel C. Bulos, Consular Assistant Severino Baliao, and Property Officer Salmineo L. De Castro, led the Philippine Consulate General team. The team joined the volunteers of the Seafarers Ministry, the Waipio Community Baptist Church, and the Waianae Baptist Church.

Consul Bulos lauded the fishermen for their role in the growth and development of the Philippines and PH-Hawaii relations. She noted the sacrifices they paid in being away from their families, made especially challenging during the holiday season. She assured the fishermen that the Philippine Consulate General’s doors are always open for them.

For a taste of home and as a holiday token, the team distributed 100 gift packs of Philippine brand sardines and pancit canton to the fishermen. END
