The Filipino Community honors Filipino designer, Laoag  City native, and Millilani-bred, Jay Nicolas Sario whose successful stint as Top Four finalist in the highest-rated fashion design reality show “Project Runway” earned him scores of accolades for his creative design and excellent workmanship.  At the Community bash attended by some 200 guests, Consul General Leoncio R. Cardenas presented Mr. Sario with a Certificate of Recognition for  being an inspiration to Filipinos, particularly those from the Filipino-American community and for epitomizing the 2010 Philippine Independence Day upbeat  theme  “Pilipino, Ang Galing Mo! (Filipino You Rock!).
