The Philippine Consulate General with the Filipino Community Leaders

19 March 2011. The Philippine Consulate General celebrated EDSA25 with members of the Filipino Community on 25 February 2011 at the Philippine Consulate General.  Filipino Community leaders and members of the Hawaii House of Representatives joined the celebration composed of a flag raising ceremony, a photo exhibit,  a film showing of the EDSA People Power Revolution and a celebration of a Thanksgiving Mass officiated by Fr. Romeo Nietes of the St. Peter and Paul Church.

University of Hawaii Professor-Emeritus Dr. Belinda Aquino delivered a speech on the meaning of EDSA on the Philippines and the Filipino people. She also delivered the message of US Congresswoman Colleen Hanabusa who was unable to come to the event.
