19 March 2011. The Philippine Consulate General attended the 57th Annual Anniversary and 37thAnnual Terno Ball.  A much-awaited event organized by the Hawaii Filipino Women’s Club, led by its President, Ms. Jenny Alconcel Quezon, the “Terno Ball” is a fund raising activity for the Club’s participation in projects such as  the ‘Feed the Hungry Program”  of the Institute of Human Services for Women and Families, the Hawaii Food Bank, the AUW, Filcom Center and Liliha Library.

The event also featured the awarding of  Certificates of Commendation to six Filipino Community Organizations for their Outstanding Service and Volunteerism, namely the Aloha Medical Mission, Congress of Visayan Organization, Filipino Women’s League, Pinoy Power/KPHI, San Nicolas Goodwill Foundation and Sarrat International, Inc.
