(29 June 2015) The Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu celebrated the 154th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Jose P. Rizal on 19 June 2015, with a wreath- laying activity at the Rizal bust by the Knights of Rizal and Philippine Consulate officers on the Consulate grounds.
Simultaneous wreath laying ceremonies were held in Waipahu and Kalihi by other Knights of Rizal members at their respective Rizal monuments.
In the afternoon, the Consulate held a film showing of the film “Mabuhay with Aloha- the Hawaii- Filipino Experience, 1906-2006,” a documentary on the Filipino Sakadas produced by veteran Hawaii-based broadcast journalist, Ms. Emme Tomimbang. (END)
