Philippine Consul General Gina Jamoralin was invited by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii led by its current president, Mr. Eddie Flores and the Philippine Airlines led by Ms. Sol Solleza, Hawaii PAL Area Manager, to join them in celebrating Moon Festival 2015 on September 20, 2015 at Empress Restaurant in downtown Honolulu.

The event featured moon cake, tea pairing and dimsum tasting as well as a lecture on the history of teamaking. Mr. Flores, of Filipino-Chinese ancestry is also the President and CEO of “ L &L Hawaiian Barbecue” restaurant chain in Hawaii, which recently opened branches in Manila.

Consul General Jamoralin thanked Mr. Flores for supporting the Filipino community in Hawaii by initiating and sponsoring the annual “Flores de Mayo” festival , which is now on its 23rd year every May at Kapiolani Park, Honolulu to raise funds for the Philippine Community Center in Hawaii. Philippine Airlines also took the opportunity to promote its PAL promotional tours to Manila, and other Asian destinations to the guests present who were composed mostly of business people from the Chinese chamber of commerce and other Filipino community leaders.
