The mobile consular team, led by Vice Consul Joyleen E. Santos (2nd row, 3rd from left), poses with members of the Kauai Filipino Community Council (KFCC) which the Consulate coordinated with for the two-day activity. The KFCC is led by its President, Ms. Charlmaine Bulosan (2nd row, 4th from left).
Filipinos and Filipino Americans in Kauai availed themselves of the consular services extended by the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu during its mobile consular outreach program from 5 to 6 March 2016 in Lihue, Kauai.
A consular team seven (7) members provided almost 180 passport, civil registry, notarial and authentication, and dual citizenship services in the island.
The team also strongly encouraged the applicants to vote in, and to spread the word about the upcoming May 2016 Philippine national elections, highlighting that for this year, the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has adopted the Automated Election System (AES) Modified Postal Voting at the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu for purposes of casting overseas absentee votes from 9 April 2016 to 1:00 AM of 9 May 2016 (Hawaii time).
The two-day outreach activity was held in coordination with the Kauai Filipino Community Council (KFCC). END.
