The Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu, Hawaii opened its doors to the public on Saturday, 9 April 2016 which marked the first day of the 30-day period of the overseas voting for the 2016 Philippine National Elections.

Casting the very first vote for the Consulate, was Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin who expressed optimism that with the adoption of the Automated Election System (AES) Modified Postal Voting for the first time in Hawaii, Filipino voters would find this year’s electoral exercise to be more convenient, more transparent and faster.

Voters under the Consulate’s consular jurisdiction have two options to vote:

1. Personal voting for voters residing in Oahu (However, ballots will be mailed to those who were unable to come to the Consulate before 22 April); and

2. Postal voting for voters residing in the other Hawaii islands, American Samoa and French Polynesia.

The Philippine Consulate General’s schedule for the voting period is as follows:

9 April 2016 : 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
10 April to 7 May 2016 : 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
8 May 2016 : 9:00 am to 11:00 pm

(For 16 April 2016 : 7:00 am to 3:00 pm)
