The Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu conducted a mobile consular outreach to Kona, on the Big Island, West Hawaii on 21-22 January 2017. A total of 228 various types of consular services were provided by the outreach team, from passport renewals, notarial, authentication, visa, vital events reporting, and administration of oaths to dual citizens.

An added service provided by the team is the registration of overseas voters as part of the activities for the resumption of overseas voters registration, for the purposes of the 2019 Philippine National Elections. A total of 66 voters were registered with one application for change of voting address.

The consular outreach was done with the assistance of the County of Hawaii Island, Kona, led by Ms. Jane Clement, Commissioner for Culture and Arts, Kona, Hawaii. (END).
